Supervision for Coaches and Mentors
The supervision service for coaches and mentors is a professional guidance process aimed at supporting their professional development and ensuring the delivery of quality services. This process allows coaches and mentors to review and enhance their own practices with the feedback and support provided by an experienced and accredited supervisor.
EMCC (European Mentoring & Coaching Council) is an organization that aims to promote successful practices in mentoring and coaching, increasing expectations for successful practices across all European countries with its members. Supervision is mandatory for EMCC members.
While the ICF (International Coaching Federation) mandates supervision for team coaches, it also recommends supervision for individual coaching processes. It will soon finalize its efforts regarding supervisor accreditation.
Meltem Şakarcan is one of the first accredited supervisors by EMCC in Turkey and serves as the Co-Chair of the EMCC Supervision Group.
The general purposes of supervision include:

-
Maintaining Ethical Standards: Ensuring compliance with ethical standards, defining professional boundaries, and creating a healthy balance in coaching relationships.
-
